Welcome Delaney

Welcome Delaney

Welcome DelaneyShe’s here and she’s gorgeous. One week ago I went to one of my NST appointments and after discovering some interesting patterns the Dr. decided that it would be best to induce that day. So, off to the hospital we went. We arrived at the hospital Tuesday evening and within an hour and a half I was dressed, the IV was placed and hooked up to the NST machine. We quickly found that I was actually going into labor all naturally and within an hour my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart! With my contractions this close together they doubted that I would even need the Pitocin. After four hours the Dr. came in to break my water and 3 hours later I was pushing. At 3:29am on Wednesday, January 30th Delaney was born at 7lbs 4oz and 19 inches long.

I’m feeling good, recovering well and the sweet angel is even allowing me to get some decent sleep at night. She’s such a doll and we’re so very in love with her.

  1. wow, congrats! you make the birthing process sound so quick and easy! i’m speaking as a woman with no kids, but who has heard the horror stories – and all the pain too!

    1. With Delaney it was pretty easy compared to Kylie. With Kylie I was in labor for 15 hours and pushed for 2.5 plus had to be on all sorts of medications for high blood pressure. I won’t say it wasn’t painful but it wasn’t too bad BUT I did have an epidural 🙂
