I’ll never forget the night my daughter had her first night terror. She “woke up” popped up in bed and began screaming and crying uncontrollably. We tried to calm her and noticed she wasn’t really “with it”. I quickly began to Google the symptoms and that is when I discovered that she was having a night terror episode.
It’s a horrifying feeling not being able to comfort your child knowing they aren’t comfortable and there is literally nothing you can do for them other than make sure they do not hurt themselves on accident. Her eyes were wide open but she isn’t really there, no matter what you did you could not wake her from it.
Night terrors are episodes of screaming, intense fear and flailing while still asleep. Also known as night terrors, sleep terrors often are paired with sleepwalking. Like sleepwalking, sleep terrors are considered a parasomnia — an undesired occurrence during sleep.
Night terrors are more common in children and a sleep terror episode usually lasts from seconds to a few minutes, but they may last longer. My daughters worst night terrors would sometimes last 30 minutes.
My oldest experienced night terrors starting at age 3. She is now approaching 6 years old and still has mild, short episodes but not as often as she used to. Not being able to give her any comfort was a nightmare for us. I wish we would have had the Lully Sleep Guardian 2 when she was 3.
The Lully Sleep Guardian 2 gives off vibrations that turn on automatically to stop night terrors and ensure a restful night of sleep for both child and parents.
The Lully Sleep Guardian 2 is a small disc you plug in and tuck under your child’s mattress.
Then, you just need to download the app to your smart phone and tell the app about your child’s sleep patterns. The Sleep Guardian 2 will learn to vibrate at the perfect time. Then, it senses when your child moves, and turns itself off without waking them.
It should be noted that the app is only available for iPhones and iPads and not Android devices at this time. I do hope they support the Android phones soon because I want to use it with my Galaxy device and can’t yet.
If your child is experiencing night terrors the Lully Sleep Guardian 2 is the answer. Since we’ve paired it with our iPad we’ve noticed that she is sleeping more soundly and getting a nice restful nights sleep (just in time for school to start!)
The Sleep Guardian 2 is safe and scientifically proven to be effective and they even include a 30 Day Guarantee! To find out more about the Lully Sleep Guardian 2 visit lully.com.
