Swanson Health Products is family owned and have been around since 1969. They offer organic foods, vitamins, supplements, teas, eco-friendly cleaners, natural beauty products, and more. I was given the opportunity to try out a few of their wonderful products. I was impressed with the large selection and low prices and within a couple of days of placing my order the items were at my doorstep.
I chose to review Burts Bee’s Bug Bite Relief because the mosquitoes at our house this year are horrible. Seriously. I think if they tried they could pick me up and carry me away with how many there are! I’ve heard a lot of great things about Burt’s Bees products so I was happy to see that Burt’s Bees offers an all natural bug bite after-bite treatment. It wasn’t long after receiving our Burts Bees Bug Bite Relief that my husband and I had some mosquito bites to put it to the test. The Bug Bite Relief is in a stick for and you just pop off the cap and apply to the bug bit just like chapstick. So we applied it to our bites. My first reaction was to its lovely smell, it smells really nice probably since it has lemongrass and lavender in it. The texture is a bit sticky and thick but it does work. It took about a minute and the itch subsided. We get bit on a daily basis so I’m glad to have found an all natural product to help relieve them instead of a chemical based product. We’ve used it quite a bit and still have alot left in our tube, so the product lasts as well.
Burt’s Bees also offers a line of haircare items that sparked my interest. I am always looking for a shampoo that will give my hair some lift and shine. I’ve tried alot and the only ones that had worked for me were the expensive salon brands and I’m not willing to spend that kind of money on shampoo. So I was excited to give the Burt’s Bees Avocado Butter Pre-Shampoo Treatment and Burt’s Bees Pomegranate & Soy Shampoo and I treated myself to some mommy-time at home spa treatment. The Avacado Pre-Shampoo treatment goes on prior to shampooing, taking about a tablespoon and working it thru your hair, then let it sit for at least 15 minutes. I opted for a deep conditioning treatment and left it on for 20 minutes. Once 20 minutes was up I hopped in the shower and rinsed it out. Next, I followed it up with a shampoo using Burt’s Bees Pomegrante & Soy Shampoo (which smells devine). Once I dried my hair I noticed the nice texture it had and it had its shine back! I’ve finally found an affordable shampoo and hair treatment that has kept my hair looking healthy
and full. I definitly recommend trying it out for yourself!
I use Aveeno moisturizers for myself so I was happy to see they offer a daily moisturizer specifically for babys skin, Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion. It is fragrance free and it is affordable. My daughter has had some issues with dry skin in spots and I was anxious to see if this product helped with it. I began using the Aveeno Baby Daily Moisturizer on my daughter after each bath and it has helped make her skin so soft and its not greasy. It’s made a difference in my daughters dry skin and I’m going to continue using it. I’m very happy to have found a moisturizer that works for her!
