Santa Barbara Bay Salads of the Sea Review

The holiday season is quickly approaching and that means lots of entertaining and cooking from Halloween parties, Thanksgiving to Christmas and the New Year. I recently had the chance to try out some of the ready made dips and spreads by Santa Barbara Bay and Salads of the Sea and am thoroughly impressed! I usually don’t like the ready made dips as much as a homemade dip but I really loved them because they do taste homemade. My family tried out some of the Deli-Style Dips and Greek Yogurt Dips. While the dips are super yummy all on their own Santa Barbara Bay also has a bunch of recipes on their website using some of their dips. We tried out the Spinich Triangles which uses the Santa Barabara Bay Spinich dip, some Filo dough, Feta and egg. They were so delicious and would make a great appetizer for a party! All of the dips taste so fresh and yummy. They are perfect for snacking too! I loved pairing the Carmelized Onion and Roasted Garlic with some crackers and ate it as my lunch, seriously… so good! Another favorite thing to do was spreading the dips on a sandwich. The Zesty Ranch on a turkey sandwich was to die for!

Having the Santa Barabara Bay dips in my fridge has also been great when family and friends are over. The last time they were I whipped out the Chunky Artichoke Dip and some tortilla crackers. It was a hit and all I had to do was take it out of the fridge and put it into a bowl, how easy is that? If you don’t like the traditional Sour Cream based dips, Santa Barbara Bay offers the Greek Yogurt Dips which are just as delicious. I’m not a big fan of plain Greek yogurt, but I really loved these. My favorite is the Spinich and the Roasted Red Pepper Asiago Cheese.

If your a seafood lover like my husband and I then you have to try Salads of the Sea Seafood Spreads. We tried the King Crab & Chedder (which made a yummy snack on any sort of cracker), Cream Cheese Seafood Spread and Seafood Salad. We loved them all and even tried out a recipe from the Salads of the Sea website, Seafood Stuffed Avacado Salad. I’m on an Avacado kick and this was so easy. All you do is cut an avacado in half, brush it with lemon juice and fill the avacados with the Salads of the Sea® Seafood Salad, it is so good!

If you’re planning a party or just love dips and spreads (who doesn’t?!) I would highly recommend trying out the Santa Barbara Bay Dips and Salads of the Sea. Also, be sure to check out the recipes most of them are quick and easy and delish!

  1. Make that two . My mouth started watering as I read about the Avacado, red pepper and Asiago cheese. Yum….I always wonder about the freshness in these types of dips but I can see from your review that they tasted fresh. I definitely will be trying them out. I have never heard of them before so Thanks for the review.

  2. I really loved the cajun Crab dip, but Costco stopped selling it. Is there anyway I can find out who sells it?
I hope you still have it on the market.
