We enjoy taking family walks after work together and puppy Digger usually comes along with us. Now that it is getting darker earlier by the time Daddy Digger gets home from work by the time we have our evening walks after dinner the sun is setting and its getting dark. So, when I was asked to review the Pup Crawl leash it couldn’t have come at a better time.
The Pup Crawl leash is the first light up leash and can be see up to 1/4 mile away, perfect for evening family walks with our dog in tow! We recieved the Pup Crawl lighted leash in orange and gave it a whirl around our neighborhood. Puppy Digger is a pit/lab mix so we need a large leash for him. The Pup Crawl leash is on the thinner side and perfect for small/medium breeds (it is approved for up to 60lbs but ours is 70lbs) so for Puppy Digger I just doubled it up with one of our thick leashes which worked perfectly. I do hope they will come out with one that is a bit thicker for larger dogs so I would be albe to use it exclusivly. It’s plenty long at 6 feet in length and comes in 7 different color options and lights up the same color as the leash, it’s pretty cool!
We put hooked Pup Crawl leash on Puppy Digger and set off on our walk. It lights up nice and bright with the push of the attached button. We put it to the test as I walked with Wheelz down our long street and you could easily see it from one end to the other. It has 2 settings one that stays lit or blinking mode for even more visibility. It’s perfect for early morning walks before the sun comes up and for those of you like us who take evening walks with their dogs. We love the extra peace of mind the Pup Crawl leash gives you and would recommend it to any dog owner!
More about Pup Crawl
Pup Crawl is also a socially responsible company and donates $3 of every sale of a Pup Crawl light up leash to pets in need and you get to choose from more than 400 dog shelters and rescue organizations where the proceeds from your purchase will go to.
The mission of The Pup Crawl is to help shelters and rescue groups care for the millions of pets who lose their homes every year. In 2009, we launched The Brooklyn Bridge Pup Crawl, an exciting nighttime walk across the iconic Brooklyn Bridge that raised funds for our six non-profit partner shelter and rescue programs in New York, California and Florida. Rescue groups across the country heard about The Pup Crawl and, to date, additional Pup Crawls have taken place in California, Arizona and Pennsylvania — raising tens of thousands of dollars for rescue animals. The next Brooklyn Bridge Pup Crawl will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2011.
You can purchase the Pup Crawl leash at www.thepupcrawl.com for $25 and $3 of those dollars will go to a shelter!
