Thanks to Greenfield Village for having my family and I out to enjoy this event! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Halloween is a blast, I love the dressing up, trick or treating and all the fun events!
We were invited out to check out one such Halloween event – Hallowe’en Nights at Greenfield Village. So, this past weekend we packed up the girls costumes and treat buckets and checked it out.
Greenfield Village was transformed with carved jack-o’-lanterns and intricate costumes along the winding trails of Greenfield Village.
I couldn’t believe how many carved pumpkins there were, the entire trail was lined with them, the girls loved looking at all the different carvings. It was so cool looking walking down the dark trail with them all lit up!
Throughout the pathway there were neat shows and treat stations to stop and do some trick or treating.
The bridge was lit up from below and filled with fog, there was a war zone in the distance beyond the lake, pirates & mermaids, and (my favorite) the headless horseman!
Another one of my favorites was the singing pumpkins. Here is a little video I captured –
The whole way it was all family friendly, even for the real little ones like mine. While it was spooky it wasn’t scary – you know what I mean? It was just the right amount of Halloween fun and ambience for everyone to enjoy.
I will note that there are some dark spots where there is little to no lighting so be sure to bring a just in case flashlight. If you happen to drop something or need to see it will be needed. Daddy Digger was thankfully prepared and Loo Loo’s shoe fell off a few times so it came in handy.
This was a great family Halloween event and if you’re in the Metro Detroit area I’d highly recommend bringing the family out for some Halloween fun and trick or treating.

This year was the first year I actually made a costume! Pinky is obsessed with My Little Pony and I couldn’t find a costume that I liked in stores so we made it for her.
