Disney On Ice Princesses & Heroes Review

I received something of value from Feld Entertainment as part of their Insider Program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Last night my little girls, my husband and I attended the Disney On Ice Princesses & Heroes opening show at the Palace of Auburn Hills. I hadn’t told them where we were going, just that it was a surprise and they would see when we got there.

Pinky put on her Elsa dress and Loo Loo wore her Minnie Mouse costume and off we went.

When the lights dimmed and Tinkerbell came skating out the look on their faces was priceless!

The show was great and all of their favorite princesses were there – Belle, Ariel, Cinderella, Tiana, Jasmine, Aurora and yes Anna, Elsa and Olaf were there too!

The girls had their eyes locked on the ice the entire night. The way they had the scenes setup anywhere you sat you’d have a good view.

We had great seats and had a great view of the entire show!

In Disney on Ice Princesses and Heroes follows the journey of eight of the Disney princesses and heroes. It started with Aladdin and then Snow White and Prince Charming came out along with all the seven dwarfs. I couldn’t believe how awesome the dwarf costumes were and have no idea how those talented ice skaters were able to skate in them!

Next was Beauty & the Beast. Belle and the kitchen performed Be Our Guest along with Lumière of course. The Beast didn’t make an appearance for the number but did come out for the finale as the transformed prince.

After this The Little Mermaid started and began with a great act by Eric’s deck hands that included some great acrobat acts on the ice. They then performed Under The Sea along with Sebastian and Flounder of course. All of Ariel’s sisters were there too and bubbles filled the air as they sang Under The Sea together.

Here is a pic I took of the girls during intermission next to the ice –

Tiana and Prince Naveen came out and did a short dance, I do wish we would have seen a some frogs or perhaps Louis the trumpet-playing Alligator as this is one of my favorite Disney movies.

One of my favorite parts of the show was next Sleeping Beauty. When Maleficent turns into the Dragon, there is a large sculpture with ice skaters and it breathed fire right onto the ice. It was very cool! My girls were a bit frightened by it but still thought it was cool 🙂

Rapunzel and Eugene came out and did a quick dance.

Then it was time for Elsa and Anna’s story. My girls flipped when Anna came out singing “For the First Time In Forever” and when Elsa came out and joined in the song Pinky could hardly contain her excitement. I’ll never forget the look on her face of pure joy. Loo loo’s eyes were locked on the entire time with a smile across her face.

They did a good job covering the story of Frozen at a high level and Olaf of course was there too. The costume was great too, and they even re-enacted the part where they throw his head back and forth.

Finally, Cinderella her evil step sisters and the prince came out and told a quick story of Cinderella.

For the finale all of the princesses and the entire cast made their way around the ice along with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Tinkerbell too. My girls were sad the show ended, they didn’t want it to end 🙂

Here is Loo Loo waving by to everyone –
