In the summer we absolutely love to cook out! This year we even got a smoker and Daddy Digger has been smoking all sorts of delicious dinners! This past weekend we had smoked ribs and let me just tell you – they were to die for! I received Ali’s All Natural BBQ sauce for review and the ribs were the perfect opportunity to try it out. Ali’s All Natural BBQ sauce and syrups are all natural, diabetic friendly and low calorie and are sweetened with the Stevia plant.
We tried both the syrup and BBQ sauce. The Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce is perfectly sweet and spicy and made for the perfect sauce for our smoked ribs. I also didn’t have to feel guilty eating tons of sugar and empty calories! Only 10 calories per serving and 1 gram of sugar! It means you get to have your cake and eat it too 🙂 It would also be great on chicken or pork chops, we’re going to be having BBQ chicken later this week and I can’t wait!
On Sundays, I like to make a nice home cooked breakfast for the family. Last Sunday I made pancakes and topped mine off with Ali’s All Nautral Maple Syrup. I wasn’t as pleased with the syrup as I was the BBQ sauce. Mainly because I like my syrup to be extremely sweet which usually means there is lots of sugar and additives. It also wasn’t as thick as I like. While it wasn’t my favorite, it is certainly a great option for a diabetic or those trying to cut back on sugar intake and calories. It’s definitely a healthier syrup option!
